Your suggestions for improvement:
A flame photometer measures the presence of metals in a sample. It does this by analyzing the light emitted by a flame into which a solution is introduced continuously. A filter separates characteristic metal wavelengths. The intensity of light emitted at a given wavelength determines the metal's concentration.
ApplicationsFlame photometers are found in food, chemical, petrochemical and medical laboratories, and are used for water sample analysis.
