ApplicationsStrain relief bushings are used for flexible wires and cables. Products such as pumps, compressors and machine tools will use strain relief bushings in order to protect the cables from excessive vibrations, push/pull forces, twisting and even to insulate cables at their entry points.
TechnologiesStrain relief bushings are made out of one- or two-piece molded plastic (e.g., nylon), aluminum, brass or steel. The molded parts are either screwed, pressed or snapped onto the wire or cable without damaging their outer plastic jacket. Some strain relief bushings include a rubber seal in order to protect the wires and electronics from moisture and dust.
