Description

The EOR-3D combines short-circuit and earth-fault location in a single compact device. The device combines the advantages of various location processes. Through the prioritisation and weighting of the location processes, they can be combined perfectly together. The EOR-3D can be addressed via various integrated control protocols, can read up to six devices via Modbus master and can also function as a gateway. IT security features and the freedom to programme the device make it a unique aid when locating earth faults and short-circuits. The earth and short-circuit fault indicator offers a wide range of location processes for both compensated and isolated networks; these can also be prioritised. Transient earth fault process through use of the qu2 and qui algorithms for one-time faults, intermittent faults (qui), faults in loops with large circulating currents (qu2) and erroneous resistances can be located in the kOhm range Active power direction process or cos(φ): Evaluation of the active power direction, active residual current increase Harmonics process with measurement of the associated power direction for a user-selected frequency Pulse location Directional or non-directional short-circuit indicator with configurable reset time Transient earth fault detection with the use of the qu2 and qui algorithms for one-time faults, restriking faults (qui) and faults in loops with large circulating currents (qu2) Reactive power direction or sin(φ) process Directional or non-directional short-circuit indicator with configurable reset time
