Motion control There are multiple motion control solutions to choose from, either based on AC500 PLCs using our powerful PLCopen Motion library PS552, or based on our MINT line of motion controllers. With Automation Builder, ABB's servo drive offering can be used to create scalable motion solutions, with either centralized or decentralized control. You can scale from our AC500-eCo simple pulse train interface to high-end performance EtherCAT network based solutions with MicroFlex e150 and MotiFlex e180 servo drives. With the AC500 PLC as central multi-axis motion controller, our dedicated motion control library PS552 based on PLCopen provides a powerful IEC61131-based solution. For MINT based products, drive configuration and programming is done by the integrated MINT WorkBench tool.
