Description

Chiller / Cooling tower motors Protection against environmental factors is key to reliability and increased TCO (total cost of ownership) in chiller and cooling tower applications. The Baldor-Reliance® chiller/cooling tower motors offer a complete package in a totally enclosed cast iron design with additional sealing to minimize moisture entry points. These motors are specifically designed for use in the air stream on chillers and cooling towers and are designed for wet, high humidity environments. Direct replacement for most OEM applications. Features • 3 – 60 hp (TEAO), 1-100 hp (TEFC) • 213T – 364T NEMA frame • Three-phase (foot mounted) • 208-230/460, 230/380-415, 230/460, 460, 575 volts • Severe duty cast-iron construction for harsh environments • AEGIS® internal shaft grounding rings installed on -G extensions • Space heaters available for warming electrical winding to prevent condensation • Moisture resistant copper windings, doubled dipped and baked • Stainless steel hardware and nameplate with corrosion resistant epoxy finish • Class F insulation with Class B temperature rise, 1.15 service factor • Suitable for inverter use per NEMA MG1 Part 31.4.4.2 • Multiple lifting provision for ease of installation • Strategically placed drains for optimal moisture removal • Four barrier shaft sealing system on drive end (lip seal, v-ring slinger, double-sealed bearing, dome slinger) • Lipped conduit lid for increased ingress protection (IP55) • Multiple speed electrical design • Lead lugs for ease of connectivity • Designed for longevity with 3 year warranty Common applications • Chillers • Cooling towers • Other HVAC applications in high-moisture environments
