ACT Meters International Ltd provides a wide variety of alarm troubleshooting systems for intruder and fire alarms. The products address issues such as false alarms and system breakdowns resulting out of EMI, RFI and nearby lightning. For extra security and stability, ACT recommends incorporation of these products in to the alarm system as a preventative step. ACT 1376 PIR stabiliser prevents PIRs and dual detectors getting impacted by RFI. When some cables from 12V supply serve as an aerial and deliver RFI signals on to sensitive parts in the detector, the 1376 causes a chatter or a complete drop in PIR relays. In case of a DC spike, it stabilizes and powers PIRs and dual detectors up to 250ms. With the stabilizer, there is no need to replace non-defective motion sensors. With the 12VDC supply connected through, ACT 1376 can accommodate both inside or at the rear of the detector.
