5/8" OD tube steam coil for heating with flexible tubes for thermal expansion and contraction Type FLEX coils are 5/8” OD tube steam coils for demanding applications where frequent cycling occurs due to intermittent operation. The “S” shaped tubes absorb the thermal expansion and contraction without causing undue stress to the joints. Standard construction is carbon steel supply and return headers (opposite end) and threaded connections. Type FLEX coils are available with 1 or 2 rows and are typically used for applications with low to moderate steam condensate loads. This coil type falls within the scope of ARI standard 410 Certified Ratings.
