Thermal Conductivity Detectors from AGC Instruments have a simple design, are inexpensive, universal, rugged and have an excellent sensitivity - they are relatively linear through a wide range. The sensors are some of the most widely used instruments in the world today. The unit consists of a metallic block which contains a cavity and the gas flows through this cavity. Present in the gas flow are heated elements such as hot wire, filaments or thermistors. The principal on which the unit works is that each gas has its own thermal conductivity with a method of difference. Two heated elements in two activities are required for the operation.
