The multi-module telescopic bundle clamp is designed for handling flat sheets or bundles of sheets. The sheets or bundles are handled in a positive grip by inserting several gripping shoes under the sheet or bundle. The multi-module telescopic gripper allows, compared to a single-module gripper, the handling of sheets or bundles of sheets of greater length and/or with an eccentricity of the centre of gravity in the longitudinal direction. Compared to a non-telescopic multi-module gripper, it allows a reduced longitudinal space requirement for the handling of small formats. The telescopic multi-module bundle gripper is the most versatile of the bundle gripper range.
Description:
The main components are:
Lifting clevis, upper frame, module frame: they are mechanically welded and have no load-bearing welds. The welds are continuous, looped and held by a stabilisation anneal to prevent fatigue cracking. These components are mechanically assembled by tenon/mortise or broaching to ensure the quality and durability of these joints.
The large slides or carriages (slides supporting the arms): they are mechanically welded. The welds are continuous, looped and held. They are guided on bronze rails in the upper frame in the case of large slides or guided on rollers in the case of carriages.
The module slides: they are solid and made of high-strength alloy steel. They are guided on bronze rails in the module frames.
