Description

For applications where high sensitivity is required, A.H. Systems set of H-Field Rods provides an accurate standard for magnetic field testing. Features Individually Calibrated High Sensitivity Magnetic Field Testing Three Year Warranty Product Details An H-Field Rod Antenna is a ferrite rod with a coil around the rod and some matching components. The benefit of this type of antenna is it's size and convenience for portable applications. The ferrite material "concentrates" the magnetic component of the RF signal into the coil. In other words, the ferrite rod antenna has a much greater level of sensitivity than if the coil had been used on its own. This antenna is shielded from the electric field and is only responsive to the magnetic component making this type of antenna directional. It receives the magnetic component of the RF signal at a right angle to the direction of the RF signal and has deep nulls when the antenna is in line with the direction of the signal. The HRF-3 Antenna operates efficiently over the frequency range of 1 MHz to 10 MHz. It is suitable for MIL-STD, VDE, and TEMPEST testing, with reliable, repeatable measurements.
