Product Details
A.H. Systems FCC-4 half-wave dipole antenna, also know as the reference dipole antenna, is the simplest form of an antenna. This dipole consists of a matching balun and two horizontal elements and includes a mounting clamp, and a tape measure to adjust the element lengths. Each antenna element is adjusted to a quarter wavelength (half wavelength total) this will create a precise resonating response at the frequency of interest.
The antenna balun is constructed per the W. K. Roberts design as specified in the ANSI C63.5 standard and consists of a folded balun that converts the 70-ohm (at resonance) to 50-ohm impedance. This balun design exhibits a low VSWR, low balun loss and can handle power up to 60 watts.
Included parts:
FCC-4 Antenna
ABC-TD, Balun Clamp with 1/4-20 thread
Tape measurer, Inch/Metric
