AKEMI® Car Body Sealant is a solvent-containing, brushable sealant based on natural and synthetic rubber. The product is characterized by the following qualities: - - fast drying - - permanently elastic - - paintable - - weather-resistant - - very good stability, easily brushable - - very good adhesion on many different surfaces AKEMI® Car Body Sealant is used in body making, vehicle construction, machine and apparatus construction, in the electrical industry as well as in the ventilation and air conditioning sectors. It is used to seal grooves, overlappings, spot-welded seams and similar objects made of metal (iron, steel, aluminum, zinc), many plastics as well as primed or painted sheet metal. 1. - The surface must be free of rust, dirt, grease and dust and has to be dry. It is recommendable to slightly abrade smooth surfaces. 2. - Apply with a brush or a spatula; due to the good stability a slight brush structure is maintained. 3. - Hardening time depends on the thickness of the layer and the temperature. 4. - The sealant can be painted after hardening. 5. - Tools can be cleaned with AKEMI6 Universal Thinner. - - Use AKEMI8 Liquid Glove to protect your hands. - - The sealant hardens only physically, it can therefore be attacked by solvents to a greater or lesser degree. - - The hardened sealant is not hazardous to your health.
