AKEMI® Wheel Rim Sprays are high-quality one-component paints which contain solvents. They do not contain CFC propellants. The products are characterized by the following properties:
- - fast-drying
- - very good adhesion on metal (iron, steel, light metal), paper and wood
- - weather-resistant, does not yellow
- - abrasion resistant
- - conditionally stable towards petrol, resistant to thawing salt and car wash
AKEMI® Wheel Rim Sprays are mostly used to improve the appearance of steel and light metal alloy rims which have become unsightly and to protect them. They can also be used in the domestic sector and for hobby purposes.
1. - The surface must be free of rust and grease, thoroughly clean, dry and slightly roughened. Inactivate residual rust with AKEM® Rust Converter, then apply AKEMI® Zinc Spray.
2. - Mask or cover up the tyre rubber with paper.
3. - Prime the surface using AKEMI® Primer light grey (spray).
4. - Shake the spray can vigorously before use (you can hear the mixing balls).
5. - Apply several thin layers (at a spraying distance of approx. 25 cm and at intervals of 3 - 5 minutes).
6. - After thorough drying (approx. 2 hours) abrade wet with P600, then clean and let it dry.
7. - To achieve a better surface protection apply AKEMI® Wheel Rim Clear or Clear Coat.
