ARGUS LBS excess flow check valves are
installée! in Systems to prevent the médium
escaping through line breaks.
Under normal opération, they are open and
installed near to a tank or cylinder to be
protected. They close if excess flow speeds
occur.
Each excess flow check valve is rated for
maximum flow speed.
The excess flow check valve is held in the
OPEN position by a compression spring.
If the spring pre-tension is exceeded, the
poppet valve moves in the valve seat and
closes the line.
Outside influences, e.g. sudden movements,
impact on moving devices, installed position,
can create axial forces and thereby changes in
the closing volume.
If the user is unable to prevent from such
influences, System tests must be run.
