PBS cubes for low/medium energy applications. Standard options for single wavelength and custom options (several wavelengths, size, etc.) available upon request.
What is standard polarizing beamsplitter (PBS) cube ?
Standard polarizing beamsplitter (PBS) cube is an optical component made from two right angle prisms. Its main function is to separate S and P polarizations by transmitting P-pol. and reflecting S-pol.
How standard polarizing beamsplitter (PBS) cubes are made ?
Alien Photonics Standard PBS cubes are made by gluing two right-angle prisms (one is coated with polarizing beamsplitter coating on its hypotenuse) using high quality optical glue (e.g. NOA61 or other). This consturction, however, makes them vulnerable to high energy laser pulses. Standard Alien Photonics PBS cubes are used in low and medium energy applications (e.g. low and medium power lasers). For high energy applications we recommend optically bonded High Energy PBS cubes.
Dual band multi-wavelength PBS cubes
Dual band (double band) PBS cubes split polarization of two distinct wavelengths. Alien Photonics Dual band, tripple band, four band and broad band PBS cubes are gaining popularity and are available upon request.
Polarizing (PBS) cubes for interferometers
Alien Photonics PBS cubes separate polarized light into components in interferometry instruments. These optical components help to achieve precise interference patterns.
Quantum computing experiments using Polarizing (PBS) Cubes
Designed for specific wavelength PBS cubes, together with high precision true-zero order waveplates can help in quantum experiments by efficiently separating and recombining polarized photons.
