The plant is made up of a product collecting tank, a related pumping set and a number of tube bundle heat exchangers which can be made up of smooth or corrugated thermal exchange tubes.
Outside the tubes, the tube bundle heat exchangers are crossed, in the heating phase, by overheated water, which transfers heat to the product to heat it, while in the cooling phase, they are crossed by the cooling fluid which can be water from tower, water from well, or chilly or glycol water.
The plant also includes the thermal stop, the product re-cycling group when the sterilization temperature is not reached and the instrumentation required for the automatic control of the whole sterilizer.
Benefits:
- High efficiency in the thermal exchange which can minimize the time in which the product remains in the plant as well as the product’s thermal degradation.
- Design choices which make the plant very compact and allows its full assembly before the shipping.
- Possibility to partially operate the plant by making it suitable to treat reduced flow rates of product.
- Full automation of the plant and possibility of remote control.
