High throughput rates as well as the possibility of treating solids with very widely distributed or strongly fluctuating particle properties characterize the Drum Dryers. They are particularly suitable for processing mineral materials, sands, slags, ores as well as coal. They are also available as single-shell, double-shell or even triple-shell dryers. The design and layout ensure high performance in a confined space. Functionality: Due to the application-related design of the drum (internal internals) and the rotation of the drums, very intensive contact is achieved between the loosened bulk material and the hot gas or air flowing through. This enables an extremely intensive mass/heat exchange and thus very efficient drying.
