Description

Wohlhaupter's fine boring lay down cartridges—ES-Bore—can easily be mounted onto the body of a custom tool while the dimensions allow the cartridge to fit on existing bodies and replace current lay down cartridges in addition to providing 3E TECH+ functionality. When used with standard Wohlhaupter components, the lay down cartridge has a diameter range of 1.1" – 128.0" (28 mm – 3200 mm); however, a maximum boring range cannot be defined for custom boring tools as the range is unlimited and depends on the application. Advantages • Easy 0.0001" (1 micron) diameter adjustments using 3E TECH+ digital module • Good visibility for 0.0002" (0.005 mm) analog adjustments • Easily manufactured cartridge pocket • Versatility in many different application types over 1.102" (28.00 mm) • Used with Wohlhaupter custom tools Features • Available in 3E TECH+ digital or analog adjustment • Capable of radial and axial adjustment • Available in right- and left-hand cutting styles • Available in 90 and 95 degree approach angles • Minimum bore diameter 1.102" (28.00 mm) • Maximum cutting speed 2625 SFM (800 m/min) • No clamping necessary
