The contaminant-resistant design allows the DSP 205 to process most materials without requiring any pretreatment. The gentle disintegration and separation of packaged feed materials provides a particularly clean biogas substrate.
No preshredding, preliminary screening or digestate after-treatment necessary
Very clean filtrate thanks to gentle processing in the mixing hopper and press
Tolerant to solid bodies with a diameter of up to approx. 80 mm
Low energy consumption thanks to co-rotating press cone
Easy to maintain as a result of wear segments that are bolted to the screw flight
Good accessibility of the take over point between hopper and press due to the closable and movable mixing hopper
THE SCREW PRESS FOR CLEAN BIOGAS SUBSTRATE
The screw press DSP 205 separates biogenic waste into a liquid fraction and a solid fraction. The bioavailable components are enriched in the liquid phase and separated from packaging material and other foreign matter before they are used as substrate for generating biogas in the wet fermenter. Depending on the input material, the solid phase can be composted and after subsequent screening utilized as refuse derived fuel.
The two conter-conveying mixing shafts in the feeding hopper tear packaging and bags apart by means of shear force, thus not shredding them unnecessarily. If the packaging material is kept in large pieces it can be separated from the substrate in the subsequent solid-liquid separation much better. When it comes to kitchen waste and foodstuffs, the machine does not require any pretreatment and due to the gentle processing the digestate does not even need any further cleaning.
