The structure of rubber hydraulic hoses consists of many layers. The types and functions of these layers are as follows;
1. Inner Rubber Layer
It is produced by pulling synthetic rubber paste. It ensures that the fluid passing through the hose stays inside the hose.
2. Reinforcement Layer
This layer can be made of steel wire and textile and allows the hose to withstand pressure. The hoses manufactured with steel wire layers have different types depending on their wire wounding type, mesh wound and spiral wound. Textile layer reinforced hoses are braided. There might be more layers depending on the hose’s working pressure.
3. Separation Layer
This layer is located between the reinforcement layers. It allows the reinforcement layers to stick together.
4. Outer Rubber Layer
It provides protection of the reinforcement layers inside the hose from external effects.
