The washing drum has been projected and constructed to wash carrots and potatoes.
The washing machine washes under pressure inside a drum.
The machine works according to two types of washing, the first by pressure and the second by pressure and immersion for the more delicate products such as in the case of new potatoes.
This allows for excellent washing while reducing breakage to a minimum.
At the beginning of the work cycle, the operator switches on the electrical power supply to the machine from the appropriate control panel (See the Customer's manual), closes the outlet damper and opens the water inlet tap and starts the engine which drives the cylinder.
In the following phase the product is loaded into the hopper and reaches the cylinder through a water slide.
A special sensor placed at the inlet signals that the product has reached an optimal level inside the cylinder, automatically stopping the feed of the incoming product, so as to keep the product level inside the cylinder constant.
The machine is designed to carry out two types of washing, one by pressure and the other by pressure and immersion for a more delicate type of product, such as new potatoes.
In the first case, the washing is carried out by the nozzles of the central tube of the cylinder, while in the second, in addition to the central tube, the washing is carried out thanks to butterfly valves which, when closed, allow the water to rise inside the tank.
In this case the product no longer rests on the cylinder during washing, but floats in the water in order to reduce breakage to a minimum.
