Amar has been a pioneer in the flow reactor / microreactor area in India. We have several models to offer with various specifications. We offer cost-efficient alternatives to expensive imported models of microreactors.Our in-house experts have extensive experience with scale-up correlations for our microreactors. Our microreactors offer enhanced reaction control, increased safety, improved efficiency and selectivity,and the ability for rapid experimentation and optimization in chemical processes. The PinchFlo reactor is another proprietary Amar design for flow reactors. Particular advantages are that the tubes can be coiled to allow a large surface area in a compact design. They can also be surrounded by heat transfer fluids to allow great heat transfer. Specific advantages of the pinchflo reactor are that excellent scale-up correlations are available to us in-house and we can devise lab runs from which reliable estimates can be made of scaled-up configurations. Furthermore, we have this reactor available in models that are hosted at our wet lab in Mumbai. Customers are welcome to take trials on this reactor at our site for a nominal fee before they invest in a model at their own site. Reactions that benefit significantly from precise control over reaction conditions, such as temperature and mixing, work really well in microreactors. These include fast reactions, highly exothermic reactions, reactions with hazardous intermediates, and those requiring tight control over residence time for selectivity. Examples encompass the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, polymerization reactions, and processes requiring catalyst optimization or continuous flow chemistry.
