Brinell Optical Scanning System The B.O.S.S. brinell optical scanning system measures your brinell impressions faster, more accurately and more consistently. And it improves your quality control with advanced data acquisition and analysis capabilities, including the ability to save your high-resolution image of our impression to file. The B.O.S.S. system includes a high-resolution video scanning head with video imagery software. The software operates in a Windows® environment. The software and scanning head can be added to your existing computer, or we can furnish a complete “turn-key” system using a desktop, laptop or tablet-style computer with printer and with mobile protective cabinet. Operating is simple. Use the video scanning head and “click” onto your impression. A high-resolution still image of the impression is created and measured with the video software to 0.01mm resolution. Even measurements on ground or smooth surface, dark gray iron or light reflective aluminum are quickly and easily interpreted.
