Bracket mounted reels are the easiest type of cable retractors to install. They have a wide range of application and are commonly used on delivery trucks and trailers to counterbalance doors, gates and loading ramps. Like the arbor mounted reel, these reels have an exposed cable and spool and can be adjusted in the same manner. These reels also perform well as tool balancers for larger, heavier assembly tools. Our bracket mounted reels are made of zinc plated steel and come standard with nylon coated galvanized steel cable. These spring reels also have an exposed cable and spool which allows the spring tension to be adjusted. Three standard models are available with 8.0 lbs, 11.0 lbs and 15.0 lbs of retraction force.
