The drivers collectively known as ATOUCH libraries present the lowest program level ensuring connection between a DB-Net information system and PC applications. ATOUCH is an ideal tool for all programmers designing own PC applications who need to transmit data from/to the DB-Net/IP information system. It is evident that ATOUCH is designed for programmers able to work with DLL libraries or ActiveX controls!
ATOUCH are also included in drivers for Promotic, Control Panel, Control Web, LabVIEW, TIRS32, ASTER32 and many other environments for more or less specialised program products.
Depending on the environment type ATOUCH is designed for, several library types have been developed:
-ATOUCH32 – driver in the DLL library form for Windows (32-bit). The driver contains dynamically linked libraries that provide services for the DB-Net system (data transmission, identification, network maintenance…). It also supports DB-Net connections using standard PC COM, modem or industrial Ethernet.
-ATOUCHX – contains several ActiveX objects designed for full-scale access to the DB-Net information system. The library essentially provides similar functions as ATOUCH32. In addition to basic data transmissions between DB-Net and PC application, it also supports the so-called “history archives”, time and date transmission, unit status detection, etc.
-ATOUCH Linux – a library allowing communication among programmes designed for the Linux operating system in the DB-Net/IP system. It includes the most important functions for data transmission between the DB-Net/IP system and programmes running in the Linux system.
