Melt Flow Indexer
AMSE offers a complete range of instrument to measure the polymers melt index.
International reference standard: ISO 1133 and ASTM D 1238
Test methods
Methods A: weight /MFR (Melt Flow Rate)
Methods B: volume/MVR (Melt Volume Rate)
- The Melt Index measurement is a basic test in any activity related R&D and Quality Control.
- The execution of multiple tests on a material is compulsory for the knowledge of its behavior.
- Particularly it is possible to monitor the polymer’s thermal stability, a very important parameter to set the process (extrusion, injection, blow molding and others) conditions.
