Carbon Black
AMSE offers an instrument for the determination of the carbon black content according to ISO 2530 and ASTM D 1603.
The carbon black content materials is determined by heating about 1g of the material under test at a temperature of 500°C or 600°C, depending on the sample material, inside a furnace with first nitrogen gas and later air flowing over it.
The carbon black content of the material under test is determined from the loss in weight due to heating in air divided by the starting weight of the material.
