Type ZHUA features a galvanised steel core with a thick, smooth TPU cover which is halogen free and flame retardant in line with the smoke and fire requirements of EN 45545-2 and NFPA 130, ASTM E162, E662 and BSS 7239 standards. The conduit retains its flexibility at low and high temperatures and changing levels of humidity, is conduit is UL & CSA approved and has an integrated grounding copper wire (in sizes 1/2” to1.1/4”) to protect cables from electromagnetic interference. Type ZHUA is used in the metro-, train- and bus-building industry, in closed areas, airports, tunnels and (subway) stations, shipbuilding industry and navy. Specifics Special approvals: UL-360 (file # E18917) and CSA C 22.2 (file LL15275 / 1117768). Applicable for NEC Article 250.118 (6), 350, 300.22 (D), 620.21 and 645.5 (E) (2). Suitable for use in hazardous environments according tot NEC: - Article 501.10 (B) (2) Class I, Division 2. - Article 502.10 (A) (2) and (B) (2) Class II, Division 1 and 2. - Article 503.10 (A) (3) and (B) Class III, Division 1 and 2. - EN 45545-2: R22 (interior equipment) class HL1 and HL2, R23 (exterior equipment) class HL1 and HL2. (Average results: ITCpnl = 0,19 , Ds max = 262 and LOI = 31,6). - EN ISO 11925-2: passes the Allumability test at 30 sec. Flame property tests: Official tests (VTEC Laboratories Inc.) indicate that the Poly-Urethane used in ZHUA meets the requirements for NFPA 130, ASTM E162, ASTM E662 and BSS 7239.
