The Andor Software Development Kit (SDK) gives the programmer access to the Andor camera and spectrograph range. The key part of the SDK is the dynamic link library which can be used with a wide variety of programming environments including C, C++, C#, Visual Basic and LabVIEW. Additionally, Andor’s SDK comes with an in built Python wrapper as standard for full integration between the SDK and Python scripts. Dedicated, separate SDKs are available for Windows, LabVIEW, Matlab or Linux - user must specify the appropriate platform at time of order.
• Programming access to the Andor product range
• Compatible with Windows 8, 10 and Linux
• 32-bit and 64-bit versions available
• Control CCD temperature and shutter operations
• Save and read files
The Andor Software Development Kit (SDK) gives the programmer access to the Andor camera and spectrograph range. The key part of the SDK is the dynamic link library which can be used with a wide variety of programming environments including C, C++, C#, Visual Basic and LabVIEW.
The SDK provides a suite of functions that allow you to configure the data acquisition process in a number of different ways. There are also functions to control the CCD temperature and shutter operations, and to save and read files. The driver will automatically handle its own internal memory requirements.
To use the SDK effectively the user must develop a software package to configure the acquisition, provide memory management, process the data and create the software interfaces.
The library is compatible with Windows 8 and 10. Currently Andor provides both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the SDK. A Linux version of the SDK is also available.
