Magnetic Pulleys with Permanent Magnets, PMAPs, may be used on any conveyor. Bulk products processed have to be in thin or average thickness layers. PMAPs act at the bottom of layers enabling all ferrous materials, even spherical and small sizes, to be extracted. They are recommended for :
protecting plants against ferromagnetic parts
magnetic refining of bulk products.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
PMAPs are manufactured in accordance with steelworks standards (NFH 95330). They consist of four parts :
a steel shaft with a high mechanical strength and traction drive,
two steel flanges mounted on removable hubs
a non-magnetic stainless steel smooth machined shell for supporting the conveyor belt and protecting the magnets
a high permeable steel magnetic circuit consisting of permanent magnets with alternating polarities. Dimensional accuracy and concentricity are guaranteed by lathe machining.
Shaft ends may be adapted on specific request.
INSTALLATION METHOD
PMAPs are fitted in place of conveyor head drums. They are entirely suited to your plant. The belt should be flexible and reinforced with non-magnetic clips. It may be smooth or with lugs. Ferrous materials, drawn to the bottom of the layer, are separated from the flow and held on the belt by the pulley’s magnetism.

Six types of PMAP are offered according to the layer height : 50, 70, 100, 150, 180, 220 mm.
Dimensions of PMAPs are appropriate to the belt width standards.
