Permanent overband magnets, OVBPs, may be used on all types of bulk products, on conveyors, vibrating lines or chutes. They are intended for :
•protecting the plant against ferromagnetic parts,
•refining and magnetic sorting of transported products.
Thin and average layers are processed. Ferromagnetic parts should be present in small or average quantities in the product. They are automatically removed by a powered belt. OVBPs are mainly used in :
•recycling industries (car crushers, wood, glass, plastics, selective sorting etc.),
•quarries, mines and cement works,
•the food - processing industry.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
The magnetic circuit, an Andrin ASP, consists of :
•a machine-welded steel yoke of high permeability
•– a magnetic body consisting of ferrite magnets with a high field value.
The unit is locked with synthetic resin in a non-magnetic box.
The frame, consisting of two U steel sections, supports :
•the ASP magnet
•two rollers, convex machined, set on dustproof bearings
•geared motor
•discharge belt, fitted with cross lugs for extracting the ferromagnetic parts
•belt tensioning system.
The belt speed is specified according to the characteristics of the product to be processed and the conveyor speed.
