- Note: Rated data is measured when the rotation speed is 20 rpm and the ambient temperature is 23℃±2℃.
* Max angle 115º
* Temperature range -5~50℃
* Weight: 12±1g
* Body material: Polybutylene terephthalate (PBT)
* Rotating shaft material: Polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) or Zinc alloy
* Oil type: Silicone oil
1. As shown on the below figure, when the flat starts to slow down from less than 90º to the level of 0º, the variation of torque of the axis’s force acted on by the flat.
2.Calculate the right torque: T=M×L×9.8÷2
E.g The weight of the lid M=1.5KG
The length of the lid L=0.4m
Torque required=T=1.5×0.4×9.8÷2=2.94N.M
According to the above calculation, the Part. No should be chosen is Q20B-300G.
3. The gap between the rotating shaft and the assembly parts should be minimized. The speed of the rotation will be affected due to the gap.
4. Temperature characteristics:
A rotary damper's torque varies according to the ambient temperature. In addition, as shown in the graph to the right, the torque decreases as the ambient temperature increases, and the torque increases as the ambient temperature decreases. This is because the viscosity of the silicone oil inside the damper varies according to the temperature. When the temperature returns to normal, the torque will return to normal as well.
5.The max rotation angle of the vane damper is 115º. The damper will possibly be destroyed for any angle exceeded 115º. So please assemble a stopper for the damper. Pls refer to the below figure
