One of our many passivation processes includes Blueing, a process that gives processed goods a blue-black finish. Blueing is a relatively simple process that provides only a fraction of corrosion resistance, as compared to plated coatings. Thus, we have made it our objective to provide only top-notched plating services to ensure the production of high-quality goods.
Blueing, named after the blue-black color of protective finish, is a passivation process in which the steel substrate is partially protected against rust.
Blueing helps to maintain the metal finish by resisting tangential scratching, but parts still need to be properly oiled to prevent rust. Blueing, being a chemical conversion coating, is not as robust against wear and corrosion resistance compared to plated coatings.
