Description

The chromate conversion process is a simple yet well-established process in our plating business. This versatile coating is popular among customers for a multitude of reasons. The process is primarily used to improve the corrosion resistance of the coated item, or as an undercoat for paint application. We can offer clear and yellow-colored chromate coatings based on our customer’s requirements. Chromate conversion coating is a passivation process used on aluminum, zinc, cadmium, copper, silver, magnesium, and tin alloys. Primarily used as a corrosion inhibitor, primer, aesthetic finish, or to retain electrical conductivity.
