Single seat control valves are used in a variety of processing applications to shut-off and to change over processing lines. The operation to close or open the valve (by moving the valve stem) is performed by a pneumatic actuator with air connection and reset by spring force.
The following designs are possible by way of different actuator assemblies:
NC: Actuator normally closed / air-to-raise, spring-to-lower
NO: Actuator normally open / air-to-lower, spring-to-raise
