Passavant Chamber filter presses are used for the solid-liquid separation of suspensions/slurries in the field of municipal sewage and industrial water/wastewater treatment, and also as an approach to various types of filtration jobs in product procurement.
Passavant Chamber filter presses separate the suspended solids in an optimal manner from the liquid by mechanical means and compact them into a compression-proof filter cake characterised by its elevated solids concentration at minimum residual humidity. Separation from the liquid occurs at maximum separation sharpness. The filtrate running off the filter press is practically free from solids. The solids content amounts to more than 40 percent in the case of organic sludge and more than 80 percent in the case of mineral sludge. The dewatering pressure is generated by the filling pump.
