Master MTE Series Tray Former
The Master MTE-1100 Series is an inline high speed tray former that automatically erects trays using a hot melt glue system at speeds up to 25 trays per minute. This system is ruggedly built and compact in size with simple tool-less adjustments between tray sizes. The MTE-1100 is used in a variety of industries and can be easily integrated with other packaging equipment.
The MTE-1100 is manufactured in the USA in accordance with ARPAC’s Lean Manufacturing Process (AM2) to ensure quality, performance and value. A Nordson ProBlue® Glue unit is standard, but can be replaced with a glue unit of preference.
Mode of Operation
Flat corrugated blanks are extracted from the magazine by vacuum pull-down and transferred to a pinch roller mechanism. The pinch rollers then transfer the blank into the forming area. While transferring through the pinch rollers, hot melt glue is applied at strategic points. A forming mandrel then presses the blank through an adjustable forming die. As the blank moves vertically through the forming die the end tabs and the side panels square up and are glued together. The formed tray is held momentarily allowing the glue to cure, then ejected onto the out feed power conveyor.
