Description

The ASK®-API Coupling was developed for safe bottom loading of tankers in the mineral oil industry. It is particularly user-friendly, as it is operated via an ergonomically designed hand lever. The main characteristic of the ASK®-API is its robust and proven design. How does the ASK®-API from ARTA work? ASK®-API coupling and uncoupling is quick and easy. The coupling was designed as a high-quality female part, which is compatible with DN100 male parts per API 1004. To connect the two coupling halves together, place the female ASK®-API connector on the male adaptor. Now, with a single rotation movement of the hand lever, the coupling can be sealed and the coupling valve can be opened. To detach the coupling simply reverse the process. What advantages does the ARTA ASK®-API offer? High level of compatibility The ASK®-API possesses a high level of compatibility. It is designed for API 1004 male parts and has a TTMA flanged American Tank Truck Standard connection. Seal change-out without disassembly The sealing gaskets of the ASK®-API can be exchanged quickly and easily. Thanks to its intelligent design, the coupling requires no disassembling. Fast loading Because operating the Dry Break coupling is so easy, connection time is minimal. Furthermore, the flow-optimized design of the ASK-API shortens loading times. Maximum flow WThe flow-optimized design of the ASK-API was determined using the finite element method (FEM), validated by flow tests. The Dry Break coupling causes minimal pressure drop when at maximum flow.
