Glan-Thompson polarizer 50.230 series

Glan Thompson Polarizers features an extensive acceptance angle among Glan-Polarizers. It is primarily manufactured out of two calcite prisms or a cementer BBO prisms. Glan Thompson comes in two available types. The first type is the standard form and the second type is the long form. The standard type features an aperture ratio of 2.5:1 while the long form has 3:1. This polarizer has a more comprehensive extinction ration. The transmission process is restricted by integration in birefringent matter when in the ultra violet spectrum. Calcite polarizer can be used from 350 to 2300 nm and a-BBO polarizers from 220 to 900 nm. These polarizers feature the broadest field angle of any design. They have a surface quality, beam deviation, and wavefront distortion of 20-10, < 3 arc minutes and ? /4 @ 633 nm, respectively.
