Technology
The Inertial Measurement Unit ASC IMU 8.X.Y is ideally suitable for high accuracy positioning in various applications. It’s based on the proven MEMS technology and consists of a number of high precision inertial sensors e.g. a triaxial accelerometer and a triaxial gyroscope. Due to the excellent long-term stability and the low noise of the sensors, position changes in all 6 DOFs can be reliably measured with high accuracy and repeatability.
The ASC IMU 8 operates with an excellent bias stability of 0.12°/hr and an angular random walk of just 0,017°/√Hz. Its capacitive MEMS accelerometer is available with acceleration ranges from ±2g bis ±30g. The sensor offers an amplitude deviation of <0,5% FSO and a signal noise of 7 µg/√Hz at a measurement range of ±2g.
