Brush aerators are cost effective solutions for the oxidation ditches and carrousel systems, for which nitrification and denitrification is carried out in the same tank volume without any additional tank and pumping. They can also be used in compact plants in annular aeration tanks, surrounding the circular clarifiers.
Brush type aerator had a horizontal cylinder with blades mounted just above the water surface. The blades were submerged in the wastewater and the cylinder was rotated by an electric motor drive, spraying wastewater across the tank.
This kind of aerator consists of a drive unit, gear reducer, torsion coupling and a horizontal rotor fitted with aeration blades.
