In accordance with an EU directive of 16 June 2011, motors have to become more energy-efficient and must at least comply with efficiency class IE2 in the power range from 0.75 kW to 375 kW. At ATB Austria Antriebstechnik AG, IE2 motors from 0.06 kW are already available.
From 1 January 2015, motors in the power range from 7.5 kW to 375 kW must either achieve at least the IE3 efficiency level or meet the IE2 efficiency level, but then may only be operated in combination with an electronic speed control. This regulation also applies to motors with a rated output between 0.75 kW and 7.5 kW as per 1 January 2017. ATB Austria Antriebstechnik AG’s product portfolio already meets these requirements.
As a result, ATB Austria have positioned themselves as pioneers in energy-saving motors. It follows that ATB motors not only help to save energy, but also reduce energy costs in the long term. In Germany alone savings of EUR 440 million are possible.
ATB Austria Antriebstechnik AG have ranked among the world’s leading suppliers of electrical drive systems for decades. We think ahead. We produce the electric motors of tomorrow.
