Compression springs
The best known variant of a type of spring is the compression spring. The compression spring is used a lot in numerous versions. Examples of some end products with compression springs are:
Perforators
Bicycle seats
Mechanical push buttons
Ball points
Staplers
Playground equipment
Lesser known, but indispensable for sure, are applications of compression springs in machines in the production industry, food industry, shipping industry, aviation, agriculture, and automotive industry. There are also numerous other industries and sectors where compression springs play an important role.
Material
The compression springs are made on our automatically controlled CNC bending machines. The springs can be made of a large assortment of spring steel with a wire thickness of 0.1 to 34 mm. Depending on the application, compression springs can be winded cylindrically, (un)equal pitch, conically, or barrel shaped.
Class-DH spring steel to 2 mm
Class-SH spring steel (also called class-C) 2 mm and upwards
Chrome-Silicium
Chrome-Vanadium
Rust proof spring steel: RVS 302 , RVS 316
Phosphor bronze
Inconel X750
We also produce compression springs from oval or square wire. Please contact us for more information on the possibilities.
Treatment
The compression springs produced by ATV Springs can be supplied with various additional treatments. All springs are tempered (subjected to heat treatment). If desired, the springs can be polished. There is also the possibility to give the compression springs an additional surface treatment.
