The lamp is a beneficial choice in areas with high poles or difficult access to luminaires or where a stop to replace lamps is expensive. With magnetic ballast and separate ignitor it offers extremely long life time. Operation with specifically designed electronic ballasts is possible, also dimming according to the defined lighting levels of the electronic ballasts.
