Horizontal Ball Screw scissors lift tables reliably raise loads to any elevation with a high degree of repeatability. The horizontal ball screw is mounted to the center axle of the scissors lift and driven by a gear motor with brake. The ball screw lead pushes or pulls a heavy duty wheeled "truck," which runs on specially designed cam profiles attached to the legs, and forces the leg to open or close.
The horizontal ball screw lift is one of the fastest low profile mechanical lifts, but becaues of limited room for inner leg structural members, it is limited in capacity and platform size. As with other mechanical lifts, a transducer, encoder, and PLC motor controller allow for programmable predetermined work elevations.
