Description

The explosion-proof cross limit switch AlphaX is designed to control movement of overhead travelling cranes, hoists and complex machine tools operating in potentially explosive areas. An explosive atmosphere is a mixture of air and gases, vapors, fumes or combustible powders, where combustion quickly propagates (explosion) after ignition at atmospheric pressure. The position limit switch operates as an auxiliary controller of electrical motors through a power interface, such as a contactor or PLC. The housing has enough space for 2 or 4 slow-action switches. The contacts are 1NO+1NC potential-free contacts. All NC contacts are positive opening contacts for safety functions. The cover is equipped with non-loosable screws only. The cross limit switch AlphaX offers many different switching configurations. The cross rods may move to 3 or 4 maintained positions or can be used as multiturn limit switch without end position. Beside a simple version for stop-function in 2 directions we can offer also a slow-down and stop-function in 2 directions and several multiturn configurations with different switching functions.
