The generator is driven by an electronic circuit board (the power components are cooled by forced air). Both components can be readily installed in the crawler body and connected to its general circuitry. Several DC voltages within the range 72 130 can be selected and applied to the generator. An exclusive feature allows generator to operate at constant kV output while tube mA decreases with battery discharge with the CF3 control unit. This feature greatly improves crawler endurance by maintaining optimum exposure time regardless of battery discharge level. This is achieved as a result of the time being continuously readjusted according to the mA value.
