Stackable, flexible and energy-efficient converter With the b maXX 5000 generation of converters, Baumüller is setting new standards. The consistent enhancement of the successful b maXX series in the direction of module systems impresses with high-performance power units in the cooling methods air, water and cold plate, flexible expansion capability and connection to an integrated communication concept. Both standardized and complex automation solutions are possible using Baumüller converters and controllers in the range of 1 to 100 kW. The requirements for machines and plants in terms of future-proofing, flexible expandability and easy conversion to changing production processes were already taken into account in the development process of the b maXX 5000. b maXX 5000 features an integrated drive connect system: Individual modules can be easily removed and integrated without having to remove the entire drive system. The standard-setting control quality is guaranteed at all times. Safety: • plug-in module, available with or without safety functions • Three different safety modules with scalable functionalities • All modules with integrated parameter memory for secure and non-secure data • Safety functions in accordance with IEC 61800-5-2 • Power output for motor brake • Selection of safety functions via local safe I/Os or EtherCAT FSoE Power supply units for high performances The converter series b maXX 5000 includes rectifier and regenerative feedback units as well as drive units, which can be quickly and easily combined by an integrated drive connect system.
