Such synchronization or syntonization is particularlyimportant in areas such as electricity, test and measurement, telecommunications,and industrial automation. Various global navigation satellite systems (GNSS),such as GPS, Glonass and Beidou, can provide international standard based timingreference around the globe. However, expensive equipment is often necessary totap into these timing sources. Installation of an accessary outdoor antenna isusually required, involving careful site selection as well as weather sealingand lightning protection precautions. The GeckoSynco PTP GM providesa cost-effective indoor GNSS based timing solution, which is particularly easyto install without sacrificing its performance. Based on creative ‘peek2sync’design, an active antenna is internal to this small and light weight device.
