In-line thickness sensor STHA1

Sensor to detect the fabric thickness The measurement device consists of two units, one above and the other below the tape under measure. Each unit is equipped by an optical sensor that measure the distance from the material under measure. The gap between the two units can be measured by an eddy current sensor placed in one of the two units or stored during calibration phase. During normal working the measures of the two optical sensors are subtracted from the measure of the gap to obtain the thickness. Optionally an air flow continuously cleans the gap to avoid wrong measures caused by dust.
